SRH Batting Crumbles
SRH’s batting faltered against a potent KKR bowling attack. Mitchell Starc led the charge with a fiery spell, taking three wickets in the powerplay to restrict SRH to a below-par total of 159. Rahul Tripathi (55) and Heinrich Klaasen (32) were the only bright spots for Hyderabad, managing a 62-run partnership amidst the wickets tumbling around them.
KKR Cruise to Victory
In reply, KKR openers Venkatesh Iyer (51*) and skipper Shreyas Iyer (58*) put on a batting masterclass to chase down the target with remarkable ease. The pair stitched together an unbeaten 97-runs stand to ensure a comfortable eight-wicket win for Kolkata in just 13.4 overs.
KKR Into the Final
This victory propels KKR into their fourth IPL final. They will have to wait for their opponent, who will be determined by the winner of the Eliminator match. For SRH, their IPL journey isn’t over yet. They will have one more shot at reaching the final when they face the Eliminator winner on May 24th in Chennai.
